CtrlS Chennai data centre
Build cycles of 10-12 months The metric data centre developers judge themselves by has moved. Speed to market remains a commercial requirement, yet dense AI deployments have attached a heavy engineering burden to every megawatt.
“ A few years ago, success was measured primarily by how quickly capacity could be brought online. Today, success is defined by how predictably, sustainably and reliably that capacity can be delivered,” Sridhar explains.
“ AI infrastructure has undoubtedly increased project complexity, requiring significantly greater investment in planning, engineering, supply chain coordination and execution readiness before construction even begins. However, greater complexity should not be confused with slower execution. With integrated planning, strong in-house engineering capabilities and disciplined project management, it is possible to build both faster and better,” Sridhar says.
CtrlS retains design and project management functions internally, an arrangement intended to compress the handovers that typically sit between consultants, contractors and commissioning teams.
“ At CtrlS, our integrated execution model enables us to deliver data centres in approximately 10-12 months, among the fastest in the industry, without compromising quality, resilience or operational reliability. The focus has shifted from simply accelerating construction to optimising the entire delivery lifecycle,” Sridhar says.
