SK hynix supplies the high-bandwidth memory that keeps AI accelerators fed with data, a role that places the South Korean chipmaker at the centre of data centre buildouts worldwide. It has led HBM shipments since the AI cycle began and holds close to 70 % of NVIDIA’ s HBM4 allocation for the Vera Rubin platform. A US $ 13bn packaging plant is planned for Cheongju, South Korea, while its DRAM and Solidigm SSD lines extend that reach into server memory and storage.
