Spare parts at scale: The hidden infrastructure dynamic Spare parts management is one of the least visible and most operationally critical elements of a hyperscale data centre logistics programme. For an operator running a distributed global footprint, the ability to get the right component to the right location within a defined response window is a direct input to infrastructure uptime.
Donna contextualises the challenge: a downed server means revenue‐generating capacity is offline. The inverse is equally true. A spare parts programme that delivers consistently to SLA is a direct contribution to revenue stability.

“ The key to the data centre pipeline is the inventory buffer – especially spare parts. It’ s about understanding which platforms are likely to see demand and ensuring the corresponding inventory is available. When a server is down, capacity is unavailable. Our role is to give customers clear visibility into where inventory sits and how demand is evolving, so availability can be restored quickly and predictably”
