If a generation grows up understanding that a data centre is part of national infrastructure rather than a mysterious grey box, we get better local advocates, better council planners and better community liaison officers coming through.
But firms need action now. QTS is a strong example of an operator that treated community outreach as a strategic investment years ago, and they’ re benefiting from that today while others are dealing with moratoriums and pushback.
