Rachel is the driving force behind Meta’ s global infrastructure as Vice President of Data Centres. She oversees every phase of the facility lifecycle – from initial site selection and engineering to construction and daily operations. Crucially, Rachel also steers Meta’ s renewable energy procurement and net zero commitments. With a sharp focus on the future, Rachel is instrumental in building the capacity required to power Meta’ s diverse technologies. She recently led the strategic pivot towards innovative AI-optimised data centre designs across the US, Europe and Asia. Before assuming her current position, Rachel served as Vice President for Data Centre Strategy. In this capacity, she guided global expansion, capacity analytics and community engagement. Her extensive tech industry journey began before she joined Meta in 2009, featuring roles at Google and Cisco Systems. Rachel holds an MBA from Arizona State University and a BA in Economics from the University of Arizona.
