Dame Dawn Childs is the President of Pure Data Centres Group, stepping into the role after leading the company as CEO from 2023 to March 2026 and serving two years as COO. An accomplished operator, Dawn joined the data centre sector following a transformative career across major infrastructure networks. Her impressive history includes directing a multi-billion-dollar transformation programme for the UK’ s National Grid, alongside senior engineering positions at Merlin Entertainments and Gatwick Airport. These roles followed a dedicated 23-year tenure as an Engineering Officer in the Royal Air Force. A passionate advocate for inclusion, Dawn was the longestserving President of the Women’ s Engineering Society with her tenure of five years – and currently chairs the iMasons Inclusion Committee. Widely honoured for her exceptional contributions to the sector, Dawn received a Fellowship from the Royal Academy of Engineering in 2020 and was appointed a Dame Commander of the British Empire in 2023.
