Switch runs colocation campuses in Nevada, Michigan, Georgia and Texas, led by the Citadel Campus near Reno, which is planned to reach 650MW. The operator devised its own Tier 5 rating standard for resilience and density and has powered its portfolio with renewable energy since 2016 – positions taken well ahead of much of the sector. DigitalBridge and IFM Investors took Switch private in 2022, and the company filed confidentially for an IPO in August 2026.
