SpaceXAI is the AI arm of SpaceX, formed when xAI was folded into the company in May 2026. It operates the Colossus campus in Memphis, built from a disused Electrolux plant, which has evolved into a cluster approaching 2GW of AI compute. On-site gas generation, direct liquid cooling and compressed construction schedules have reset assumptions about how quickly training capacity can be delivered, with compute now contracted to Anthropic and Google.
