Doubling US fibre capacity for AI infrastructure Prysmian is allocating € 1.25bn( US $ 1.4bn) up to 2031 to extend optical cable and fibre production, at plants in the US and Europe. The investment will more than double US fibre capacity against the current baseline, reinforcing Prysmian’ s position as one of only three US manufacturers of fibre and optical cables. It will create more than 1,000 jobs worldwide, 600 of them in the US.
