The data centre industry has spent decades refining a delivery model built around buildings: pour the concrete, erect the steel, fit out the white space and commission the systems. AI has not made that model obsolete, but it has exposed its limits.
Densities that once seemed extreme are now a starting point, timelines have compressed from years to months and the trades needed to stick-build a gigawatt campus are running short in every region where hyperscale demand is concentrated.
Compu Dynamics, a Virginiaheadquartered solutions provider with roots in mission-critical data centres, and its newer venture Compu Dynamics Modular( CDM), have built company strategies around that shift where the answer lies less in bigger crews and more in moving as much of the work as possible towards prefabrication and modularity.
