Nxtra by Airtel begins construction on a 44MW sustainable data centre at Tatu City Special Economic Zone( SEZ) in Kenya. The facility is designed to position Tatu City as East Africa’ s leading data centre hub, powered by 95 % renewable energy.

UNICOM OPENS AI DATA CENTRE IN CHINA WITH LOCAL CHIPS
Chinese telecom China Unicom confirms the launch of a new data centre in Xining, Qinghai province. Announced on state broadcaster CCTV and reported by Reuters, the facility emerged from around US $ 390m of investment. The project reflects China’ s push to deploy AI and HPC using domestically developed technology.
