Marc Ganzi, CEO of DigitalBridge, highlighted this challenge at Metro Connect 2025:“ We have a power distribution and transmission problem,” Marc warned, adding that the sector needs to focus on how to“ attack power”.
He explained:“ Here we are in 2025, with around 60 to 65 gigawatts of compute – an incredible jump over the past 11 years.”
Marc pointed out how lead times for critical hardware such as turbines, generators and battery storage continue to stretch, with even well-funded operators facing bottlenecks and delays.
