Redefining excellence: certification at campus scale The data centre industry’ s leading schemes – including Green Globes, LEED, BREEAM and NABERS – are now adapting to measure not only single assets but also the interconnected realities of hyperscale campuses and multi-building sites. In 2025, this trend is exemplified by the Green Globes Data Center Campus Certification, co-developed with Compass Datacenters, and already being pursued at key sites in Dallas, Phoenix, Chicago and Mississippi.
Amy Marks, Senior Vice President of Innovation at Compass Datacenters, explains how standardising sustainability across their campuses enhances efficiency and impact.
