When Facebook announced back in February that it would be adding a further
900,000 square feet of floor space to its campus in Eagle Mountain , Utah , local residents came forward to complain of harassment by private security staff when driving near the Eagle Mountain campus on public roads . Local mother , Kendra Whatcott , even claimed that , “ The second your car is ‘ spotted ’ by security there is a security vehicle who follows you , outside on the public road ,” adding that she was aware of those security details pulling over citizens , something the local sheriff ' s department assured her was illegal ( it is ).
