Generac SG275 generator
Manufacturing expansion supports global data centre demand The award follows a run of strategic moves Generac has made to scale its Commercial & Industrial business, among them a collaboration with EPC Power to deliver fully integrated energy solutions for data centre applications and the acquisition of Enercon, which brings 50 years of expertise in generator enclosures and switchgear.
Generac has paired these moves with expansion of manufacturing capacity at its Beaver Dam, Oshkosh and Sussex facilities in Wisconsin, alongside growth across APAC, Europe, the Middle East and Latin America, a geographic spread designed to support data centre growth with end-to-end solutions rather than isolated equipment sales.
The hyperscale supply agreement and the CSE award arrived within a day of each other, giving Generac validation from an operator committing to years of supply and from the engineers who specify equipment for a living.
Erik describes the win as particularly encouraging given who is doing the judging. " This award is especially meaningful because it comes directly from the engineers and professionals who design, specify and deploy power solutions in missioncritical environments," he says.
" The SD3250 reflects our continued investment in delivering large-scale power solutions that meet the evolving needs of commercial and industrial customers and we ' re proud to see that work recognised by the specifying engineer community."
