WATER POSITIVITY
Richard Whitmore President & CEO Motivair
Why higher temperatures enable greater efficiency The counterintuitive part of this design is that warmer coolant is more useful, not less. Coolant entering a fully liquidcooled chip at 45 ° C exits at around 55 ° C, having absorbed heat directly at the source. Because nothing in the server depends on cool ambient air, the facility itself no longer needs to be kept cold, and outdoor dry coolers can reject heat efficiently for most of the year.
Industry estimates from Energy Star suggest that raising chiller plant temperatures by a single degree Fahrenheit can cut cooling
