R $ 2BN IN GREEN DEBENTURES Scala Data Centers has announced a major investment in improving sustainability standards , with industryleading green energy efficiency expansion projects debentures , totalling R $ 2bn , with maturity of five years .

This transaction represents the largest of its kind in Brazil , and the first in the country ’ s data centre sector .

VANTAGE DATA CENTERS MAKES

£ 500MN LONDON MARKET INVESTMENT Vantage Data Centers has made its first move into London – the largest data centre market in Europe – with a £ 500mn investment and 48MW campus .

This marks just one part of Vantage ’ s UK data centre expansion plan : alongside this , the hyperscale provider has also opened a second 40MW data centre on its existing Cardiff campus .

According to Accenture analyses , migrating to infrastructure as a service ( IaaS ) can reduce energy usage and carbon emissions by a staggering 65 % and 84 %, respectively .
